Salthill
Beach and Promenade
Salthill is one of Ireland's most popular holiday
destinations, with its lapping waters and sandy beaches being the main
attractions. Located beside Galway city (2 klms), Salthill boasts a promenade 2
miles long where locals and visitors stroll in the evening and take the fresh
sea air, while "watching the sun go down on Galway Bay". The visitor has a host
of safe sandy beaches from which to choose.
Swimming, sailing, snorkeling and sea angling can be enjoyed. Leisure land’s
recreational complex has a host of wonderful amenities including an indoor
heated swimming pool, and waterslide, which proves very popular with the
children especially on rainy days.

SaltHill Village
Another popular indoor amenity is the new Aquarium. The golden mile of
restaurants, pubs and casinos also play their part by day, while musical pubs
and discos are the main attraction by night. Alternatively, one can try a spot
of golf, tennis, squash, badminton, pitch and putt, and ten-pin-bowling, horse
riding in the nearby clubs. For the fishing enthusiast there is salmon, brown
trout and deep sea angling closely.
